Free AI Prompt Generator for Teachers (Subject, Grade & Task Type)

Introduction

Most of the prompts in our guides so far have been ready-made, built for a specific grade, subject, or task. Useful, but they only cover so many combinations. What happens when you need a prompt for 8th grade Chemistry, or a rubric for a Grade 3 art project, something none of our existing lists happen to cover?

That's exactly why we built this tool.

Instead of digging through prompt lists trying to find something close enough to what you need, this generator builds a custom, ready-to-use prompt on the spot. Pick your subject, grade level, what you want to create, and how difficult it should be, and it writes the prompt for you. Copy it, paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, and you're working in seconds instead of minutes.

How to Use the Generator

  1. Choose your subject from the dropdown, everything from General Education to specific subjects like Biology, Computer Science, or Urdu.
  2. Select the grade or class level, from Primary School through University.
  3. Pick what you want to create, lesson plan, quiz, worksheet, rubric, parent email, and more.
  4. Set the difficulty level to match your students.
  5. Add your topic, and any additional requirements if you want the prompt more specific.
  6. Tap "Generate AI Prompt", then copy it directly into your AI tool of choice.

That's it. No need to write your own prompt from scratch, or hunt through a long list hoping something close enough exists.

Why This Beats a Static Prompt List

A prompt list, like the ones in our other guides, is fixed. It covers the combinations we thought to include and nothing else. This generator covers virtually every combination of subject, grade, and task type you might need, on demand, without waiting for us to publish a new list.

It's also a good starting point even when you know roughly what you want to ask. Generate a prompt close to your need, then tweak the wording once it's in your AI tool of choice, much faster than starting from a blank page.

A Few Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific in the topic field. "Photosynthesis" gets a better result than "Science."
  • Use the Additional Requirements field. If you have a specific class size, time limit, or student need, add it here, the more context, the more usable the generated prompt will be.
  • Treat the output as a strong first draft, not a finished, ready-to-use assignment. Review and personalize it for your actual class before using it, the same advice we give throughout every guide on this site.
